On our second day we went to check out more of the Catskill mountains. We drove over to a trail that was historically a railroad. We walked the rail trail a mile and a half to the start of The Katerskill Falls overlook trail. This trail was flat which our quads were happy for and we walked at a leisurely pace enjoying more mushrooms sightings and dense forest. We hiked over to Katerskill Fall and watched people swim in the natural pools beneath it. The day was overcast and threatening to rain so we headed back to the car and to a local Tannersville, NY brewery for lunch and a game of Backgammon. We waited out the rain then drove over to another old rail trail and walked another leisurely couple miles in the forest. That night we returned to our campsite, ate our dinner and had another nice night by the fire.
